How do I reinstall ESET Mobile Security for Android (purchased from Google Play)?

Issue

  • You reset your Android mobile device, wiped all data or restored it to default factory settings and need to reinstall ESET Mobile Security for Android.

Solution

To reinstall ESET Mobile Security for Android after a factory reset / data wipe of your mobile device, follow the steps below: 

Important!

While setting up your mobile device after factory reset / data wipe, make sure to enter the Gmail address associated with your original ESET purchase. You will be prompted to enter this email address the first time you access Google Play after resetting your phone to factory defaults.

 

  1. On your mobile device, click here to open Google Play and download / install ESET Mobile Security for Android. For assistance, see the Knowledgebase article below: 

  2. If you used the correct Gmail address during setup (as noted above), ESET Mobile Security for Android will activate automatically after installation. Afterward, make sure that you resolve all existing security risks by following the steps in the Knowledgebase article below:
