How do I block access to a web page using Parental control? (5.x)

Important!

Before configuring ESET Parental control, you need to set up Windows user accounts for each person accessing the computer. Without completing this important step, Parental control is ineffective in shielding children from inappropriate web content. Once you have set up separate user accounts for each person that accesses your computer, follow the steps below to block access for a certain user role to specific web pages or content using the Parental control feature in your ESET security product:

  1. Open ESET Smart Security. How do I open my ESET product?
     
  2. Click Setup Parental control.

  3. Click Setup under the user role for which you would like to block access to a web page.

  4. In the Parental control window, click the Blocked and allowed web pages tab.
     
  5. Enter the URL of the web page you would like to block in the Add web page to blocked field and click Add (see Figure 1-3).

  6. You will now see this web page in the Blocked web pages list. Click OK to save your changes.
