Which version (32-bit or 64-bit) of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux Desktop should I download?
KB Solution ID: SOLN2703|Last Revised: November 04, 2011To determine which version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux Desktop you should download, first determine whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system using one of the two methods below:
- Method 1
Open the Terminal window, type the following command and press ENTER:
getconf LONG_BIT
The system type will display as either 32 or 64. If this command does not work for your distribution, proceed to Method 2.

Open the Terminal window, type the following command and press ENTER:
uname -a
32-bit architecture: i686 or i386 as shown in Figure 1-2.
64-bit architecture: x86_64 or ia64.
