How do I delete the ehdrv driver using device manager?
KB Solution ID: SOLN2616|Last Revised: January 05, 2011After uninstalling your ESET security product, you may still need to delete the ehdrv driver from your system manually. Deleting this driver completes the uninstall and will prevent complications when installing ESET security products in the future. Part 1: Delete ehdrv.sys from your computer
- Click Start
My Computer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers
- In the file explorer window, right-click
ehdrv.sysand select Delete from the context menu.

Part 2: Uninstall the ehdrv driver using Device Manager
- Click Start, right-click My Computer and select Properties.
- XP users, click the Device Manager tab.
- Vista / Windows 7 users, click Device Manager under Tasks on the left side of the window.
- XP users, click the Device Manager tab.
- In the Device Manager window, click View
Show hidden devices.

- Click the '+' next to Non-Plug and Play drivers.

- Click ehdrv to highlight it and click the Uninstall button.

- In the Confirm Device Uninstall window, click OK.

Your ESET security product is now completely uninstalled from your system.
