Why are my client workstations running multiple scans on startup? (4.x)

When an ESET Remote Administrator (ERA) policy is applied to a client, it overwrites the settings from the previous policy. This causes the last run time for scheduled scans to be reset as well. Because of this, the client perceives the previous scans to be missed and it will then run them the next time the machine starts up.

This issue has been resolved in version 4.0.467 of ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus. If your ESET security product is earlier than 4.0.467 and you wish to upgrade to the latest version, follow the instructions in the following ESET Knowledgebase article:
